Currently, abstracts are being accepted for the 12th Young Sociologists Congress, which will be held on 20-22 May 2022. We invite all students and doctoral students, representatives of various fields of social sciences and humanities: sociologists, social workers, anthropologists, psychologists, political scientists, lawyers, as well as young scientists representing other disciplines - whose scientific considerations fit into the Congress topic we propose - to submit applications. The sessions of the 12th edition of the Young Sociologists Congress are as follows:

Depending on the abstracts submitted, the above thematic sessions may change.

 

Proposals for presentations (abstracts) should be sent by April 24, 2022, at 23:59. The application is made by sending a properly completed application form available online at https://forms.office.com/r/c295yEN154. By submitting the form, You accept Terms and Condition available in downoloads section down the 'registration' site.

Please, make sure that the abstracts:

• do not contain data that would allow the author to be identified; the proposals for speeches will be assessed anonymously,
• are submitted by up to two authors,
• do not exceed 300 words.

Abstracts that do not meet the above criteria will not be evaluated. Abstracts bearing signs of plagiarism, if detected by the organizers, will also not be submitted for evaluation.

The abstracts will be evaluated by thematic committees (corresponding to the session to which the abstract is directed). Each of them will consist of three people, and one of the members will always be a researcher at the Institute of Sociology of the Jagiellonian University with a doctoral degree or higher.

 

Information about the (in)qualification of the paper for presentation will be sent to the authors of abstracts no later than May 8, 2022.

 

The authors of the accepted articles for delivery are asked to pay the conference fee in the amount of PLN 50 (or its multiple depending on the accepted abstracts amnount registered by one applicant) by May 11, 2022. We kindly ask for punctuality - failure to pay by this date means resignation from participation in the conference, and payments made after this date will not be refunded.

As part of an act of solidarity with our eastern neighbor, Ukrainian speakers are exempt from the conference fee; please contact us at kms@uj.edu.pl.

 

In the event of resignation from participation in the conference, please inform the organizers by May 15, 2022, by email at kms@uj.edu.pl, so that appropriate changes can be made to the Congress program. The conference fee is not refundable in this case.

 

It is planned to publish a book that is a collection of the best papers submitted to the 12th edition of the Young Sociologists Congress.
