The Cracow Branch of the Polish Sociological Society (OK PTS) brings together more than a hundred sociologists and from mainly Malopolska voivodeship. The Branch's activities focus on popularizing sociological knowledge by organizing debates, open meetings and seminars. We eagerly cooperate with PTS sections, various scientific centers, non-governmental organizations, cultural and educational institutions, as well as local governments and communities. When choosing the topics of our meetings, we are inspired by both the most current sociological debates and issues relevant to local communities, society and various social actors. In addition, OK PTS holds a series of meetings called Sociological Evenings, in which various topics that are the essence of sociology are discussed together with invited experts.

The Council of Science Clubs of the Jagiellonian University (RKN UJ) is an almost 40-year-old student organization that brings together about 130 Science Clubs actively working at the Jagiellonian University (excluding the Medical College).

Sicence Clubs operate comprehensively, promoting scientific activities among students, as well as creating a space for them to develop their interests, broaden their horizons and make friends. In particular, they are engaged in the organization of scientific meetings and discussions, scientific conferences, lectures, research expeditions, seminars, or the work on publishing scientific publications.

The Council of Science Clubs supports the scientific and didactic projects of the Clubs, as well as the scientific initiatives of individual students, including by providing targeted funding through the distribution of funds, which takes place twice a quarter. The affiliated Clubs also have access to specially dedicated rooms, promotional materials or equipment rental.

In addition, RKN UJ carries out its own initiatives aimed at promoting scientific activity and activity in the Clubs among students. It organizes numerous on-site and off-site training courses, workshops and other events. The Council of Science Clubs also publishes Student Scientific Notebooks of the Jagiellonian University - a multidisciplinary and peer-reviewed student scientific journal.
